Nomads Sky - Update #09


In this week I focused on adding music to nomads sky. This task was easier than I thought, thanks to Joshua McLean´s chiptune and electronic music packs. Alongside finding music for Nomads Sky I implemented a music server for creating, handling, and playing playlists.

To round off this update I also fixed some bugs, added a nice hit flash to the player ship subsystems, added a game over screen, added a credits window to the main menu, and implemented a system for spawning debris from destroyed subsystems.

  • player invincible timer fix (only worked the first time xD)
  • player accumulation of offline time capped (repeated damage while the player is offline, increased the remaining offline time without a limit)
  • high score table fixed (high score table did not update when going back to the main menu)

  • debris spawner implemented (is used when subsystems are destroyed or the player dies)
