Update #1 - The Post-Game-Jam Update (v0.6.1)


This update is all about implementing / fixing/ improving everything from the feedback I received during the game jam. It took me longer than I thought but I finally finished it :D It is a complete overhaul of the game from visual improvements, bug fixes, and balancing all the way to new content.



FEATURES

- Healing capabilities for blobs (which means restoring their shapes)

- Void added (can be destroyed, hides blobs)

- Obstacle added (can be destroyed, blocks player but not blobs)

- Savegame System (you can save & exit and continue later now)



CONTENT

- New Blobs (Ranged Doctor, Suicide Doctor, Totem Doctor, Totem Heavy, Elite, Morphogenic, Knockback, Tower Sniper, Tower Minigun, Tower 1 Way, Tower 2 Ways, Tower 4 Ways, Tower Corner)

- New Arenas (at least 1 per difficulty but often up to 5 different arenas) about 20+



VISUALS

- Blob/ Player Original Polygon added. (shows the original polygon as a shadow behind the current polygon)

- Blob drop shadow added (instead of the old ring) to be better visible

- All Blobs were reworked with new shapes and better colors

- All Blob Bullets were reworked to match the new visual style

- All Blob Barrels were reworked

- New Barrel Animations for Shooting and Anticipation

- Complete UI/ Menu rework with new button style



IMPROVEMENTS

- Arena Timer now counts down to zero

- Blob Spawn System Overhauled (more reliable now)

- Timer Thresholds and Powercore Rewards for each Difficulty

- New Upgrade Screen for the player. (Main Gun, Dash, Power Gun, Player section with different stats)

- Options Menu added

- Pause Functionality added
