Blazing Steel - Update v1.2 (Pooling System)
This update of Blazing Steel is more focused on performance, polishing and bug fixing. There are 2 visual updates. First, the artillery tank now has its own mesh and enemies lose chunks of their armor when hit.
ARTILLERY TANK NEW MESH
ENEMY TANK DAMAGE CHUNKS
Changelog:
-> Actor pooling system (projectiles, casings, gadgets, chunks of destroyed tanks, ammo orbs and health orbs are spawned once and then reused when needed, instead of being spawned and destroyed all the time)
-> Enemy tanks are not yet pooled but hopefully will be in the next update!
-> Artillery enemy has its own mesh now :D
-> When enemies receive damage, some chunks are broken off of there mesh
-> Increased casing lifetime from 10-15 sec to 15-20 sec
-> Casings disable physics and collision after 5 sec to increase performance
-> Rocket Firing Cap (Casing) texture changed for better visibility
-> Fix where sometimes enemy tanks collide with the projectile they just shot
-> Fix Defender plays engaged sound continuously, even though the target stays the same
-> FPS options now work correctly -> FPS options changed to "Smooth 90" (default, may be subject to change), "Fixed 120", "Fixed 90", "Fixed 60" and "Fixed 30".
-> Dunes map some minor landscape polishing
